Five To-Do's Before You Cross the Stage!

Congrats, Class of 2022Β β€” you made it! You’re now going to be part of the golden and global Cal alumni community. πŸ’™πŸ’› But first, here are FIVE things to do before walking that stage! πŸŽ“

1. Claim your Berkeley email address πŸ“§

  • As long as you are an alum of a full-time UC Berkeley undergraduate or graduate degree program, you can register with @cal after graduation and click the link that reads "Claim your account!".
  • The address will remain the same, nothing in your account will change, and the process is fast and easy. Plus you get to keep all of your files, emails, and so on!

2. Pave the way for the next generation of Bears 🐻

  • A gift of $20.22 to ANY program you choose will make a big difference in making Cal accessible for all Bears, and is a golden way to pay it forward.
  • Since 1874, the senior class has made a donation to support the campus in honor of the next class to arrive. Join us in this centuries-long Cal tradition!
  • Don’t know where to give? Show some love to your student group β€” or to one of our personal favorites, the Basic Needs Center. :)

3. Get ready for Commencement and get your regalia πŸŽ“

4. Keep up with the Senior Class Council! πŸŽ‰

  • The Senior Class Council organizes events just for the Class of 2022, and you're invited!
    • Follow @ucberkeleyscc for more updates and check out the Senior Bucket List Challenge!

5. Utilize the Career Center 🀝

  • Recent alumni (with less than one year since graduating) will keep the same access to Career Services that they had as a student!
  • That means… access to all Career Center services including Handshake (the career platform exclusively for Berkeley students and eligible Cal alumni to apply for jobs/internships), attend events/workshops, and participate in (OCR) On-Campus Recruiting.
  • Access Career Advising via Handshake.

Congratulations again, Class of 2022! We've made it through these tough years thanks to the support we've all given one another, and we can't wait to cross that stage. Good luck on finals and, last but not least, Go Bears!
